Ojudu Condemns Buhari’s Govt., Says Nigerians Are Hungry

image

Moremi Ojudu, the once quiet daughter of Senator Babafemi Ojudu, the Senior Special Assistant to Nigeria’s President exploded on Wednesday, breaking her silence for the second time in less than 24 hours to rail against hunger and poverty in the land.

With her father occupying a position in the government in power, many were surprised that she chose Facebook, a medium where her father, a retired famous journalist and former Senator is very active on, to vent her anger against a government unable to deliver the promises of change.

“It’s painful when people come to my inbox telling me am the Daughter of the Special Assistant to the President. Yes I know, its just a freaking title with absolutely NOTHING attached. I am HUNGRY as you are,” Mr. Ojudu’s daughter wrote in a Facebook post.

“Pls note, I receive no shishi from my father, I hustle my way out through it all. Sometimes I wish I wasn’t, cause the regular demands on me is much each day.

“And of course, how many people would understand.

“Sometimes, I weep due to lack of funds.I know how excited I was some weeks back when a friend sent me N10,000.

“The hunger bites hard, its becoming aggravating.

“Dear Buhari, even if Ojudu Babafemi is in your cabinet, should this HUNGER continue I am ready to pair up with People on the streets to lead a protest against your governance,” she said.

She added in capital letters: “WE ARE HUNGRY! DO SOMETHING FAST!”

Prices of foodstuff have exploded in the market while money has clearly dwindled in the purses and bank accounts.Since Mr. Buhari was sworn into office last year promising change and prosperity, hundreds of thousands of Nigerians have been sacked while factories have closed shop.

Foreign investors have fled as the naira continued tocollapse, reaching its lowest point since independence in 1960.

With Nigerians broke, Mr. Buhari angered a nation already on the edge this week when the communication agency ordered internet providers to increase their data charges.

It was another blow to a nation that had been patiently waiting for positive change but seems to have received only hardship and more campaign promises from the propagators of change.

Weekly Visit To My Constituency Makes Me Closer To My People -Hon. Adekola

image

Holding a strong belief in giving back to the society the same degree of what was given him in form of mandate as a member of House of Representatives, representing Ekiti South Federal Constituency 1, and seeing the dividends of democracy evenly distributed always amidst his constituents, Hon. Segun Adekola has told newsmen in Ado-Ekiti over the weekend that weekly visit he makes to his constituency has made him more closer and relevant to his people, maintaining that the regular visit has heightened his admiration and increased his publicity in the media.

He added that he has never reneged on any of his electoral promises and also assured the people of his constituency of an increase in the tempo at which he brings dividends of democracy in the subsequent years. He maintained that he has been the vocal type in the House and one of the movers and the shakers of the green chamber.

“I am a lover of genuine democracy where deserved returns in form of dividends are appropriately given to the people. It is not just the expected but the must-do as an individual in whose custody the mandate of the people dwells. It is a truism, unto whom much is given much is equally expected. I cannot underestimate the supports I’ve so far enjoyed from my constituents. They deserve all my best!

“Nothing gladdens my heart than giving back to the people who had unanimously entrusted me with their mandate. They have honestly shown me the greatest love which as a matter of must, be reciprocated by all means, and which I’ve been doing since I started enjoying their mandate as a member of the Representatives.

“I want to believe my best is yet to come, so my appearances in the news have not even started. Each visit to my people affords me opportunity to know areas of urgent needs and how best or fast such exigency can be met without unnecessary delay. That has been one of the factors featuring me in the news all these days because I don’t postpone till tomorrow what can be attended to today.

“It is being responsive to the calls of my people and I shall never relent in giving the best of dividends of democracy back to my own people. Who am I without my people? The chance which they have given me to represent them shall be judiciously utilised to the glory of God and service to mankind,” Hon. Adekola posited.

Describing his various empowerment programmes as expected norms from his own volition, the federal lawmaker was of the opinion that the latest, which was the distribution of school uniforms, notebooks and other writing materials to over two thousand indigent primary school pupils across his constituency, Ikere, Ise-Orun and Ekiti Southwest local government areas, was just a tip of an iceberg compared to what still in stock for his people, most especially students across all levels.

He said thousands of bursary forms have been given to students of higher institutions across his constituency and the disbursement shall take place before the year runs out. Added that the gesture was to relieve the parents and apparently reduce the burden of academic sponsorship on the them.

Adekola however explained that he who cannot utilise a very little opportunity given to benefit the lives of his or her people, especially in politics, if given greater one, expectations will only go down the drain and nothing spectacular shall be benefited from such selfish egocentric oriented individual.

“Any leader who wants to be responsible and relevant beyond his generation must be readily available and responsive to the yearnings of his people; Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State is a typical example of such a leader. We must emulate him as we are proud of him every now and then. Our daily activities must reflect his mentorship,” Hon. Segun Adekola admonished teeming Nigerian leaders.

Don’t Leave Your Votes With INEC Overnight -Edo Observers Tell Ondo People

image

Series of Election Observers who took part in the September 28 Edo State gubernatorial election, have advised the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the Ondo State gubernatorial election, Mr. Eyitayo Jegede (SAN) and his supporters to stay glued with their votes at the collation centre and never allow the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to postpone collation and counting till the following day in the absence of pressmen as practised in Edo election, describing the act as a new rigging strategy.

Evaluating the gravity of the dangers embedded in such antics orchestrated by the All Progressive Congress (APC)-owned INEC, the team said what happened in Edo State was not just an election rigging but a daylight robbery aided by the federal government under the watch of President Muhammadu Buhari.

“It baffled everyone of us when INEC officials said that collation will be stopped and postponed till the following day in Edo State. We all thought it was impossible, so nobody gave it a deep thought or considered it workable until the deed was done.

“When the officials drove out everybody including the gentlemen of the press who were carrying out their official assignment, we were a bit confused and started raising eyebrows that how could such be allowed in a saner clime like ours.

“Several attempts were made that night to make sure that the postponement of the collation and counting was nullified, because we have collated and counted votes overnight before in this country and heavens did not fall, but we were overpowered by the federal might.

“So unfortunate that our people were chased away from their votes by fully armed security operatives who acted according to the order given from the presidency. Edo election has gone, but the precedence lives on. So Ondo people should be prepared for the worse and remain steadfast in case such is thrown at them,” Edo Observers admonished.

While condemning the INEC partisanship in the recent times, the team accused the presidency of using the instrumentality of the suppose-be independent electoral body to achieve ulterior motive against the general interest of Nigerians, describing the act as giving our democracy a poisonous pill to swallow.

They resounded the warning against postponement of collation and counting of votes in the forthcoming November 26 guber poll in Ondo State, maintaining that if what happened in Edo can be tried in Ondo State, definitely democracy will come to an end in Nigeria and the perpetrators shall not escape immediate judgment from the people.

In their further opinion, “We know Ondo people to be bold and brave, and that’s why we are alerting them of the script which the INEC may want to act out in the coming election this weekend. Every anti-democracy act and move should be resisted to a standstill. If APC or INEC under any guise attempt putting into practice what happened in Edo in Ondo State, the electorates should not hesitate to take law into their hands because our federal government has proved to be irresponsible.”

The team called on Mr. Eyitayo Jegede and his supporters to make necessary preparation and arrangement for two to three generating sets which can power the collation centre till dawn to prevent unnecessary excuses of blackout or whatever from the evil doers. They added that on no account should supporters of the contestants be chased away with teargas and pressmen denied access into the centre while collation and counting are going on to ensure transparency and fairness.

Nigerians Are Anxious To Exploit Fayose’s Intelligence In National Assignment -Hon. Adekola

image

“Responsible leaders take on responsibilities beyond their call of duty and they make it a point of honour to finish whatever they started in order to sustain good names and hard earned reputation; the reason why Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose has never relented in his agitations towards having resourceful and problem solving leadership that can assure and deliver good governance for Nigerians at the federal level, while the repeated fearless strides have made Nigerians to be anxiously waiting to enjoy his native intelligence as a performing leader,” Hon. Segun Adekola representing Ekiti South Federal Constituency 1 in the House of Representatives, Abuja, disclosed.

The lawmaker, while responding to questions from newsmen in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday, described Gov. Fayose as a leader who never believed in impossibilities, adding that the notable attributes of the governor had made him a golden fish that has no hidden place in the Nigeria political ocean.

He said Nigerians, most especially the Southeast, South south and some parts in the North, appreciate Governor Fayose’s brevity and boldness than we read on national dailies as orchestrated by the frightened political enemies.

“If you have ever been to the regions I mentioned earlier, you will agree with me that Nigerians are really interested in the personality of Governor Ayodele Fayose beyond party affiliation. They called him names in their dialects. They saluted his courage, boldness, thoughtfulness and even lauded his performances despite series of intimidating politically motivated cases filed against him.

“In some parts of the country, they have been calling him a Magician because he did the unprecedented by defeating two incumbent governors twice and winning elections in all the 16 local government areas in Ekiti State. Those people equated his street credibility and popularity to a “magic” and said they are expecting him to do same for Nigerians to enjoy good governance,” Hon. Adekola explained.

Noting why some Nigerians living in the mentioned regions were proud of Gov. Fayose as the voice of the masses and performing governor, and why the Igbo had conferred on him the Nwanne Di Namba of Ndigbo chieftaincy titled recently, Hon. Adekola said the avalanche number of both completed and ongoing projects in Ekiti despite being an agrarian developing state and the recent economic recession militating against the performances of other governors in the country, have earned Governor Fayose a global recognition as a resources manager, friend of the masses and an intelligent politician who knows where to dot “I’s” and cross “T’s” in politics.

Fayemi Enlists Ekiti Judge, APC Loyalist, Adesodun In Edo Tribunal To Pervert Justice

image

With full sitting of the Edo State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal yet to begin, it has emerged that one of the tribunal members, Justice Emmanuel Adesodun, who was known to be a loyalist to the All Progressive Congress (APC) was included in the tribunal by the Minister of Solid Minerals, Dr Kayode Fayemi, to help sustain the fraud perpetrated during the governorship election.

Justice Adesodun was allegedly nominated into the tribunal by the Ekiti State Chief Judge, Justice Ayodeji Daramola, at the instance of Fayemi.

Information at our disposal indicates that Justice Adesodun was given clear instruction by Fayemi to see to the dismissal of the all petitions against the election of Governor Godwin Obaseki.

Justice Adesodun was part of the Anambra State  National Assembly Elections petition tribunal last year, prompting questions as to the rationale behind his inclusion in the Edo State Tribunal inspite of the directive of the immediate past Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Mahmud Mohammed that all judges that participated in election tribunal should give room for others who have never been nominated for such assignment, and prevent them from being manipulated.

The CJN position then was because some judges were discovered to have lobbied to be included in election tribunals so as to execute their pay-masters job.

Question is also being raised as to the propriety of Justice Adesodun’s inclusion in the tribunal since it was the Vice Chancellor of Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Professor Kayode Soremekun that served as INEC Returning officer in the election.

“How can the INEC Returning Officer come from an Ekiti State based university and one of the three members of the Tribunal will also come from Ekiti State?

“Even if a judge must be nominated from Ekiti State to be part of the tribunal, is Justice Adesodun, who joined the bench in 2012, the only judge from Ekiti, such that he will take part in two election tribunals within 15 months?

“Definitely, he is part of the Edo tribunal to do Fayemi’s hatchet job and if the interest of justice must be served, he should be excused from the tribunal forthwith,” a top member of the judiciary in Edo State who preferred anonymity said.

It should be recalled that in March, 2012, when Fayemi was the governor of Ekiti State, the National Judicial Council (NJC) recommended Adesodun, Bamidele Omotoso and Kayode Ogundana for appointment as a judge, but Fayemi only sworn in Adesodun. It took pressure from critical stakeholders for Ogundana to be sworn in later while Omotoso was sworn in by Governor Ayodele Fayose in October 2014.

Only Akeredolu Understands Why Mimiko Is Bilateral ~Group Alleges

image

An Ondo State sociopolitical group under the aegis of Akoko Youth Development Forum (AYDF), has reportedly alleged the Ondo State Governor Olusegun Mimiko to have signed a deal with the All Progressive Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in the November 26 guber poll, Chief Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN), at the 60th birthday party of the legal icon on 23rd July, 2016, saying only AKETI understands the hidden agenda behind the bilateral activities of the governor between the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the APC.

According to a press release signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the group, Mr. Julius Ajulo and Com. Sunday Adegeye, respectively, the group described the presence of Governor Mimiko at the birthday party as a technical installation which PDP members in the state were just giving second thought.

The release reads in part: “It is quite unfortunate that our leaders nowadays are no longer trustworthy. They enjoy playing dirty politics with virtually everything once the immediate beneficiaries shall either be their blood or associates, not minding whose ox is gored. This has been an height of political recklessness displayed by Dr. Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State in the recent time.

“It will be recalled that during the 60th birthday celebration of Chief Rotimi Akeredolu at Cathedral Church of Saint Andrews, Imola Street in Owo on 23rd July, 2016, the occasion that attracted the presence of eminent Nigerians to celebrate the legal titan, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko was pictured at the occasion showering encomia on the APC guber candidate, Akeredolu, qualifying him with all manners of political marketing jargons.

“We are not condemning his admiration of who he described as friend, or saying his presence at the occasion was unconstitutional, our group is only expressing displeasure at some categorical statements made by Governor Mimiko at the party which were not before taken to be serious or injurious but now being subjected to panoramic political evaluation.

“At the party while called to the microphone, Governor Mimiko said, ‘We are not from the same party but I remember in 2007 when I contested (as governor of Ondo) under the Labour Party, it got to a point when things were literally rough,  Aketi was one of those who offered his services to me. I remember that day at Wole Olanipekun Chambers. They even started writing my petition before I got there; himself, Wole and I think Femi Falana were there.

‘’I am very proud of his accomplishments. He has gotten to the height of his career as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria. He also had the privilege of being the Chief Law Officer of this State (Ondo) and most importantly, he was a very progressive and respected President of the Nigerian Bar Association.'”

He went on to aver that Aketi is a ‘’gentle and reliable man’’. Mimiko also openly admitted that he wished Aketi was on the same side of the political divide with him.

“I wish we were on the same side of the political divide. I would have gone further to say ‘OTHER THINGS’ but we are before the Church of the Lord. My prayer for you Rotimi (Aketi) is that everything shall continue to work for your success and the house of your enemies shall not settle,’’ Mimiko prayed.

The group, who queried the diplomacy behind the prayers and strong wishes of Governor Mimiko at the party, said the governor should not have participated in the PDP primary election that produced Mr. Eyitayo Jegede (SAN), who the people of the state now described as victim of circumstances.

Chairman of the group, Mr. Ajulo pointed out authoritatively that Governor Olusegun Mimiko was responsible for the crisis rocking the Ondo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to pave an expressway for his crony and benefactor, Rotimi Akeredolu of APC to the Alagbaka Government House, Akure.

He maintained that Nigerians are not unaware of the chameleon stuff Governor Mimiko was made of, adding that the dual roles he has been playing in between his party, PDP and the opposition, APC, were understood by everyone. That, even though Mimiko still operates as Chairman PDP Governors Forum today, nobody ever heard him as occupant of that office against the series of misfortunes APC-led federal government had brought against Nigeria as a nation.

“We urge Ondo State people to guide against Mimiko turning the Alagbaka Government House to business and family affairs as usual. With all sincerity, Mimiko has succeeded himself already and only our votes and supports for the candidate of our choice can rewrite the already prepared results which the ‘committee of friends’ in collaboration with the federal might had orchestrated,” Ajulo said.

‘Tinubu As A Leader Is Responsible For His Own Misfortunes,’ Says Fayemi

image

Sequel to the ongoing intraparty crisis segregating the leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC), another known “political son” to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, who had chosen to pitch his tent with President Muhammadu  Buhari and the National Chairman of the party, Chief John Oyegun, Dr Kayode Fayemi has thrown a stone at his former political godfather, Tinubu over the weekend.

The Minister of Solid Minerals Development, who Saturday described the embattled national leader of the party as a leader and hardworking person, however maintained that Tinubu was responsible for his own misfortunes in the party, saying no one can be seeing himself as the indispensable where thousand of intellectuals operate.

According to the former Ekiti State governor, “Asiwaju might have been instrumental to the political breakthrough of some of us, he has the financial muscle, but we equally paid our dues without opportunity of negotiation. We have always been the “Yes Sir” types and we never complained. But we never expected him to think such can continue where development takes place. It is no news that whatever goes around comes around.”

Fayemi urged the supporters of the President Buhari-led administration to remain steadfast and focused. He added that the present economic situation of the country was a result of some injurious pieces of advice given the presidency at the inception of this administration by some people he described as leaders without visions who had wanted to hijack the presidency before God’s intervention.

He assured Nigerians that everything shall soon take formation and the country shall regain her strength again as the giant of Africa, adding that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu should not continue tearing the party and the country apart with his “golden silence” which he (Fayemi) said was destructive and well understood.

“Asiwaju’s antics are not new to us. We can never underrate his political calculations and permutations. Yet, we cannot continue worshiping him. He deserves respect that we are giving but should stop making this country and our party ungovernable for our leaders. The steering is always meant for the driver and not in conjunction with the conductor.

“Once a political party is formed and a national leader is appointed or elected, other mini-leaders should be humble enough to respect the decisions of the constituted authority no matter what. Wherever there is no orderliness, there can never be progress, and we call ourselves the Progressives. We must be ready to live out our name as the Progressives.

“What happened in Ondo State during our primary that produced Chief Rotimi Akeredolu against the wishful calculation and permutation of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to impose Hon. Segun Abraham was a complete display of egocentric orientation by Asiwaju. No single man, I repeat, no single individual can override the decision of our political party. No more in APC!

“We have presented Akeredolu and we believe he is winning the governorship election by all means. Ondo people have supported our candidate and with the reactions of the people, he has the victory already. Our second coming to this state will be to inaugurate Chief Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) as the Governor of Ondo State, political anti-party and calculations of some disgruntled elements notwithstanding, because everything, I mean every arrangement is in order,” Kayode Fayemi assured APC supporters.

Ekiti People Are Fortunate To Have Fayose •He Is Voice of Democracy -Dickson

image

Bayelsa State Governor, Dr Seriake Dickson has described his Ekiti counterpart, Mr. Ayodele Fayose as the voice of democracy with whom the PDP governors and the silent majority in Nigeria are well pleased.

Governor Dickson made the assertion while speaking with newsmen after he was conducted round some completed as well as ongoing projects by governor Ayodele Fayose in Ado-Ekiti on Wednesday.

Governor Dickson who said he was in Ekiti to show brotherly love and solidarity with governor Fayose on behalf of the good people of Bayelsa State congratulated him on the occasion of his 56th birthday as he prayed for more success for the governor, his family and Ekiti State in general.

Dr Dickson in his comments appreciated Ekiti people for the continous support given the Fayose administration even as he urged them to do more. He said “I want to thank the good people of Ekiti for the wonderful support and solidarity they have continued to show my brother, H.E Governor Ayodele Fayose who clearly is doing a great job in this state,  we have every reason by what we have seen and what we have come to know to count you as fortunate to have a governor like him who has the interest of the state and that of the common people at heart inspite of distractions.

“He has taken me round a number of high profile projects, we have looked at the new governor’s office under construction, we have looked at the high court under construction,  we have seen the wonderful flyover which is one of a kind in the entire country, probably the longest in Nigeria by the time it is completed and I can’t stop thanking him for the job he’s doing.  We have also seen the new market where we are, I have also seen many other projects completed that are already in use and with all these, we have every course in this state to thank God and also to thank the good and wonderful people of Ekiti State whose cooperation, support, understanding and solidarity has made it possible for my brother whom we respect and love so much in the governor’s forum to be able to concentrate in putting these on ground. All we can say is that with more resources, support and understanding,  more dividends of democracy will come the way of Ekiti people”.

Commending Mr. Fayose for his characteristic leadership acumen, Dr Dickson has this to say; “I don’t want to end this statement without commending my brother who has been doing a great job, speaking for the oppressed in our nation,  sounding the clarion call and cautioning threats that have been made to our democracy.  People prefer to refer to him as the unofficial opposition leader, but I think he has come to represent more than that, he is a great party leader,  we are pleased with him, we want to salute him for all he has been doing for our party and for giving the party a voice when that voice needs to be heard and all the silent majority in our nation and not just in our party are also with him.

“We want democracy protected, we want the right of everybody respected,  we want the rights of states and all other organs respected and we don’t want power personalised in our country anymore because that is dictatorship.  We have a constitutional democracy and individuals are at liberty to speak, the judiciary must be respected and treated as an equal partner,  the media must be respected and not intimidated,  nobody in Nigeria should be intimidated, that is not the democracy we fought for.

“Our belief as a democratic party, a party that nurtured our nascent democracy in the country for 16 uninterrupted years and even when the last presidential election didn’t go our way, our democratic credentials were on display,  we didn’t trample on rights of the opposition members.  Our party accepted the loss even though it was very painful and some even say the situation was questionable but in the larger interest of democracy and our country,  we took it in good faith and that is the course that governor Fayose has been championing and I want to salute him for  his courage.

“I salute him for being a voice for democracy, for being a voice for our party. I want to once again thank all the good people of Ekiti State for the solidarity that you have continued to show with him and I want to urge you to continue even as we move forward because it is not over until it is over”.

BREAKING: Aketi Bread Kills Twins In Ondo State •••Other Family Members Hospitalized

image

The factional governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ondo State, Mr. Eyitayo Jegede (SAN), has warned the residents of the state to shun loaves of bread allegedly being distributed by some agents of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN), as many of its consumers had reportedly kicked the bucket and others in Intensive Care Unit of Federal Medical Centre, Owo in Ondo State.

He alleged that the bread contained some chemical substances that could destroy the health of its consumers.

Jegede, who spoke in Akure through the Director of the Eyitayo Jegede Campaign Organisation, Mr. Kayode Fasua, disclosed that the “poisoned bread” had allegedly landed many of its consumers in hospitals.

According to him, microbiologists who had put the poisonous bread to test found that it contained potassium bromide which could result in cancer or cause instant stomach rumbling and untimely death.

He said, “Though there is nothing bad in distributing bread more so that under the APC national administration, life has become unbearable for the common people, our major concern now is that the loaves of bread being distributed are killer loaves; they are contaminated.

“Microbiologists have moved in and found that the loaves of bread are poisonous. It was found that they contain potassium bromide, which the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control had long alerted Nigerians to avoid.

“Apart from the fact that this APC bread can cause cancer, it has also resulted in many cases of serious stomach rumbling, which may have by now resulted in some deaths.”

But the Director of Media and Publicity of Akeredolu Campaign Organisation, Mr. Steve Otaloro, has denied the allegation.

He said the APC candidate was not aware of any bread distribution.

He said, “We are not aware of any bread production let alone distribution. I am saying this with all honesty. It is the work of some fifth columnists to discredit and distract Akeredolu from focusing on the November 26 election. But they have failed.”

Segun Adekola: Fayose Clocks 56 To Make More Impacts In Ekiti, Nigeria

image

A federal lawmaker from Ekiti State representing Ekiti South Federal Constituency 1 in the House of Representatives, Abuja, Hon. Segun Adekola, has described the new age attained by the Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, as a fulfilling stage to make more meaningful impacts as usual, in the lives of Ekiti people and Nigerians as a whole.

Adekola, who rejoiced with the governor as he clocks 56 on Tuesday, in his congratulatory message Monday, assured the people that the best of Ayodele Fayose is yet to be seen in Ekiti and Nigeria as a nation, saying the governor has not only made himself accessible to his people to prove humility in governance, but has equally gave another meaning to leadership as a way of leading by example and allowing followers to lean on you to attain their desired heights.

“Governor Fayose has many definitions to so many people out there including myself as one of his followers. But whichever way you see him, he is a man of his words and that makes him a unique leader and a prominent son of Ekiti land in whom we all trust after God and whose native intelligence and intellectual prowess cannot be underscored politically.

“At 56, I’m not seeing him as ageing but seeing him to be more prepared to champion courses and make moves that will turn around the fortunes of this state under his watch and Nigeria with his contributory criticisms and relentless agitations for good governance as a statesman.

“It is our joy having his kind in government in this present Nigeria. We are not just happy because God has made him the voice of the voiceless, hope for the hopeless and shelter for the homeless, but we are exhilarated simply because he never stopped saying the truth for once irrespective of the intimidation, harassment, character assassination and even media war against his personality by the opposition party,” Adekola expressed admiration.

The lawmaker congratulated the governor on his birthday and prayed the new age will be more fulfilling one in good health. He added that the effects which the continuous agitations of the governor had made in the governance of the All Progressive Congress led Federal Government in the recent times will soon be felt, adding that the position of the governor in protecting the images of Yoruba leaders irrespective of political divides cannot be ignored but appreciated.

“More reason why I said Gov. Fayose at 56 has come to do the extraordinary than before was because he has chosen to reinstall unity with the support of other notable leaders among the Yoruba race, political affiliations notwithstanding. That is the people’s governor for you! He stands with whatever he believes in not minding standing all alone even in the presence of intimidation.

“We wish him long live as our leader on his 2016 birthday. We believe so much in God through him as a trusted leader. His achievements in Ekiti as at today cannot be undermined. The leadership style, which gives room for cordial relationship between him and the people at the grassroots, has equipped him with the necessary and needed experience to lead and serve Ekiti people without a hitch,” Hon. Adekola posited.

He further maintained that Gov. Ayodele Fayose has been the only governor giving Ado-Ekiti the look it deserves as the state capital ever since the creation of Ekiti State in 1996, adding that his giant strides cannot therefore be compared with any of his predecessors in records and that the spirit of selfless service which dwells in him shall soon lead the governor to a greater height where the compass of his leadership shall cover states and effects felt across the globe.
