Zoning Is Nonsense, Ekiti People Repose Confidence In Fayose, Ignore South Agenda In 2014 -Daramola

One time member of the House of Representatives and governorship aspirant in Ekiti State, Hon. Bimbo Daramola, has described the agitation for zoning of governorship slot to Ekiti South Senatorial District as errant nonsense, saying Gov. Ayodele Fayose, despite the zoning crisis defeated Dr. Kayode Fayemi in 2014 because Ekiti people had confidence in him (Fayose) as a former governor.

Daramola, who was the Director General of the Kayode Fayemi Campaign Organisation during the 2014 poll, said the arrangement was a complete constitutional infraction, which has no recognition in the 1999 constitution and the APC’s constitution.

Aspirants of the South descent, like Bamidele Faparusi, Senator Gbenga Aluko , former Speaker Femi Bamisile, Hon Funminiyi Afuye and others, had consistently been canvassing for zoning of the ticket to their district, which has never produced the governor since 1999, to entrench equity, fairplay and justice in the state.

But speaking in Ado Ekiti on Thursday on the contentious zoning issue, Daramola , who is from Oye Ekiti in Ekiti North senatorial district , said APC had no reason to embrace zoning being a party that has enormous respect for the constitution of the land.

The former federal lawmaker added that what the populace needed was good governance not minding where the personality that is able to give the people a new lease of life hails from.

“The issue of zoning is arrant nonsense. In a civilized clime, what the people always clamour for is good standard of living as reflected in the economy and not where the person who governs comes from.

“Ekiti is an homogenous society that plays little or no recognition for zoning. We see ourselves as one and politicians should refrain from causing division just because they wanted power at all costs.

“In the last governorship election, Governor Ayodele Fayose, who came from the central that had produced himself and Otunba Niyi Adebayo defeated someone from the North. So, the idea of where you came from is inconsequential to our people provided they have implicit confidence in your personality and ability to deliver”, he said.

Daramola warned Chief John Odigie-Oyegun-led National Working Committee against breaching the party’s constitution by overtly supporting zoning in the party, saying this could create unnecessary cleavage in the party and submerge the party into litigations.

“Nobody can abridge the rights of any citizen to contest political positions provided he met the constitutional requirements as stipulated in the 1999 constitution. APC must allow all interested aspirants to go into the primaries and whoever wins will be supported by the party.

“None of the elections ever conducted since 1999 was zoned to any zone. In 1999, Otunba Niyi Adebayo of the Alliance for Democracy defeated aspirants from Central and other zones , like Otunba Reuben Famuyibo, Obafemi Adewale and Chief Paul Alabi, who later became his deputy to emerge the candidate and he won.

“Prior to 2007 governorship poll, Dr Kayode Fayemi from the North defeated the likes of Chief Bode Olowoporoku, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, both from the south , Senator Ayo Arise and others to become the candidate of the defunct Action Congress without applying the zoning being bandied around.

“Going by these trajectories, no election had ever been zoned based on agitation for zoning and the forthcoming election must follow the same procedure to avert trampling on the constitution,” Daramola noted.

Osinbajo Only Operates In Acting Capacity, Can Neither Hire Nor Fire -Minister

The Minister of Solid Minerals Development and immediate past governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has reminded Nigerians to which extent the Acting President Yemi Osinbajo can operate in the absence of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Fayemi, who stated this while playing host to certain prominent members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) from Ekiti State in his office on Tuesday, categorically maintained that the Ag. President cannot hire or fire anybody based on the restrictions surrounding his presidency.

He added that, “Even though we are having someone presently occupying the seat of the president, Nigerians should not quickly ignore the fact that we are still having a living president. He may be critically ill, yet we pray for his quick recovery.

“It baffles me each time some disgruntled Nigerians suggest cabinet reshuffle for the Acting President on the social media, targeting the Minister of Power, Works and Housing and former Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola and myself, as if we were both handpicked by the roadsides without following due processes and full consultation of the law.

“Those who care to know should have the understanding that the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is a cool headed legal icon who knows what is right and wrong, and who will never join the beer parlour decisions of those who hold diluted beliefs in the fact that some of us closer to the President were working against the Asiwaju of our time, Senator Bola Tinubu.”

Fayemi extolled Tinubu and described him as a leader per excellence. He said the leadership of the APC cannot be completed without the mentioning of the name of former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; advising those feuding the ember of discord to seek cautions and be realistic.

Lamenting on the reactions of Nigerians about the health status of the Mr. President, Fayemi said it was obvious that majority, mainly from the opposition wanted the president dead. He expressed great disappointment in such as he described the act as devilish anticipation.

He urged the Acting President to do everything within the ambit of the law, adding that he should not be too flexible with the policies of the President Buhari-led administration; stating the needs why such policies must be strictly implemented to the joint credit of the Buhari-led administration.

Speaking with one Mr. Adeparusi amidst the party loyalists who visited the minister shortly after the close door meeting, The Newswatch gathered that the visit has to do with the death rumour of the Mr. President, which they have come to hear from the horse’s mouth as their number leader in Ekiti.

They were also of the opinion that the visit cannot be disconnected from the run up to the gubernatorial election coming up in Ekiti next year, 2018, ascertaining the fact that the imperative roles of the minister as the leader of the party in the state cannot be underestimated, part of which had necessitated the impromptu visit.

Again, President Buhari Shows Epilepsy Symptom In London Hospital

President Muhammadu Buhari, whose death rumour occupied spaces everywhere in the last two week, has again reportedly suffered epilepsy as one of the associated symptoms of the Meniere’s disease  troubling the health of the president in London hospital.

Before the president left the country under the guise of vacation, Nigerians thought he was going to rest.

This was not until his rumored demise spread like wildfire across social media.

The fact is that the president suffering from a severe disease condition called Meniere’s disease.

The causes of Meniere’s disease includes Improper fluid drainage, immune disease, Allergies, Viral infection, Genetic predisposition, or Head trauma.

The reason why the president left the country without usual departure pictures of him is probably due to the disease.

People suffering from the disease condition experience the following symptoms:

Recurring episodes of vertigo: Vertigo is when a person feels as if they or the objects around them are moving when they are not.

Often it feels like a spinning or swaying movement. This may be associated with nausea, vomiting, sweating, or difficulties walking.

Falling down: The individual might lose balance and fall on the floor as though he/she has epilepsy.

Old Age: Fear Grips Experts As Buhari Sets To Undergo Kidney Transplant

While officials of the Nigerian government are shrouding the true state of health of Nigeria’s president Muhammadu Buhari in sworn secrecy, more information is being gathered from intelligence sources on the true state of Buhari’s health.

NewsRescue investigations into president Muhammadu Buhari’s medical reports reveal that the president has slumped several times in Aso rock and fainted and lost consciousness also in the United Kingdom before he was secretly ferried to Saudi Arabia for unconventional, alternative therapy not offered in the ‘developed’ world.

In a letter to the Senate, the president requested indefinite leave to take care of his health. The Senate will confer on the matter on the 21st of February.

The president according to multiple credible sources has had serious and debilitating mental and memory loss problems relating to his primary chronic diagnosis which sources say includes prostate cancer and liver disease now at a stage warranting need of a transplant.

A source said the president is suffering from metastasis with liver damage causing encephalopathy, but we have been unable to confirm. The source added that the president’s kidneys are affected and he is to receive a kidney transplant. While due to the president’s age and policy, the UK would not be able to avail him of the risky options, our sources said president Buhari sought the medical aid and transplant parts from the Saudi Kingdom.

Importantly, NewsRescue can categorically state that Nigerians are being lied to. President Buhari is in no shape to ever return to functionally lead Nigeria and if he does return, he will only be propped to appear cognizant and in command of his senses. The president may also likely be wheel chair confined except by a miracle of God. The cabal have taken over the reigns and are securing themselves.

Unlike the similar episode when former Nigerian president Umaru Yar’Adua was sick and Goodluck Jonathan took over and the Service chiefs favoured Jonathan, one of the serious problems Nigeria faces is that the service chiefs this time around are quite polarized and fanatically oppose a transition of power to Professor Yemi Osinbajo. This is one of the complications that is causing disquiet in the halls of power, an impeccable source expressed.

It was observed that the Vice president shocked listeners on a Channels TV interview when he said the president was “hale and hearty.” This in spite of the president seeking indefinite medical leave. Sources commented that the pressure against Osinbajo is almost as good as a gun put by his head and this is behind his witless demeanour. “He has to be very very careful,” our source said.
